            It is a matter of great pleasure to inform you that 28th National Conference of Council for Teacher Education in collaboration with Progressive and Leading Colleges of Education in Haryana & Punjab (North Region), is organizing a Two-Day National Conference on the Theme “Emerging Perspectives in Indian Teacher Education: Search for Identity and Building Humane Society” on November 1-2, 2014 at Kurukshetra.

Main Theme: Emerging Perspectives in Indian Teacher Education: Search for Identity and Building Humane Society

Sub Theme:
  1. National Policy on Education (NPE-1986: achievements and challenges.
  2. Education in 21st Century: International Report 1996 and its emerging perspectives.
  3. Impact of Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization (LPG) on education
  4. National Knowledge Commission - 2005 and its implications in education/teacher education.
  5. Right to Education (RTE) and related issues & challenges in diverse fields of School Education
  6. Enhancing quality and relevance in Elementary, Secondary and Higher Education through SSA, RSA and RUSA.
  7. Emerging parameters of 11th & 12th Five Years Plan.
  8. Emerging perspectives in Teacher Education in the background of above seven Sub-themes.
  9. Application of ICT in Teacher Education and its implications..
  10. Drawing out an Identity of Indian Teacher Education in the background of its culture and spiritual ethos.
  11. New strategies for preparing humane teachers in a multi-cultural Society of India.
  12. Any other aspect related to the main theme of National Conference.

CTE (HSC) welcomes original theoretical and research based papers on relevant theme (Sub themes) from teacher educators, scholars, teacher trainees and NGOs. The abstract of the paper approximately 300 words in Times New Roman / Arial 12 or 14 / in English & Kruti Dev 010 16 in Hindi and with a separate cover page indicating the title of the paper alongwith address, contact no. and email Id must be submitted before 15th  September 2014 and full paper by 10th October, 2014.
